Emergency Medicine: GHEM's New Health Equity Committee
Emergency Medicine
Global Health Emergency Medicine (GHEM) is pleased to announce the launch of it's new Health Equity Committee co-chaired by Dr. Kate Hayman (UHN) and Dr. Jennifer Hulme (UHN/Humber River). This committee is currently in a formative stage, and is looking to address health inequities and the social determinants of health that result in emergency room visits here in Toronto, through education, research, and clinical practice. We are currently looking to grow our membership across the divisions of EM and hospital sites so we encourage you to get involved.
Our next meeting will be taking place on Thursday April 13th from 9:00-11:00am in the GHEM office (12NU 1320, TGH). All are welcome! RSVP to efremes@ghem.ca
