On behalf of our recent search committee, I am delighted to announce that Dr. Dana Jerome has been selected [and more importantly] has agreed to take on the role of Program Director (PD) for our adult Rheumatology PGY 4/5 Training program as of July 1, 2017.  She will begin working with Arthur Bookman as the PD-elect as of March 1, 2017 to ensure a smooth transition.

Dana is an active member of our division and has a strong background and interest in education. Currently, she has major responsibilities within the rheumatology training program given her role of the faculty co-lead for the academic half day.  This is in addition to her role as the Division Head of Rheumatology at Women's College Hospital.

While we will fete Dr. Bookman at a later time, I know that all of our residents and faculty will join me in acknowledging what a wonderful job Arthur has done shepherding the program over the past 6 years.  We are grateful for his dedication to our residents, his meticulous attention to the dictates of the Royal College and for sharing his passion for rheumatology.  It transcends everything he does.

Our thanks and congratulations to both Dana and Arthur.

Sincerely,

Heather
